Most of the effort during past years has first focused into building scalable data processing frameworks such as Hadoop, then into learning and developing Map/Reduce applications, and finally getting the clusters running. However, once they are deployed and running, tuning their performance and managing data becomes the challenge. And this is the focus of this group!
