How to create a MVP without a technical co-founder

ATTENTION: THIS TEMPLATE IS DEPRECATED

Are you a marketeer trying to validate your startup idea? A designer looking for someone to make real your design? The idea girl behind the next big thing?

If you’re not a developer, chances are you think there’s no way to make it happen. We’ll prove otherwise. Often times you don’t need to be a developer to make a prototype and validate your idea, you just need to learn to use the right tools.

The workshop is divided in three section:

  • Intro to Lean Startup and agile developement.
  • Intro to the tools we’ll use to build the MVP (Mailchimp, Zapier, etc)
  • Building the actual MVP for your own startup.

In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of the lean startup methodology, who’s core proposition is to figuring out the problem that needs to be solved and then developing a MVP to validate the idea as quickly as possible.

For those of you not familiar with the MVP concept, this means creating a minimum viable product. Essentially the idea is to validate your idea by creating a simple version of your product with 1–3 core features to see if your product can gain traction. Then based on the feedback you get from your users, you iterate until you have a product that your target audience is happy with.

The idea is that you go home with the foundations of your MVP and with enough tools to do it on your own, without needing a technical co-founder.
